yes imo state university offers medicine and surgery in fact the first batch of student was admitted in 1998/1999 and ever since then imo state university has been admitting medicine and surgery aspirant.

the departmental got their accreditation around 2002 that’s just 3 years after the the first candidates where admitted into the department.

once you are in 100 level which is usually call first year, you will be attending classes in imo state university main campus which is in owerri. But once you get into 300 level you will transfer to their campus in Orlu, which is a town that is just an hour drive from owerri.
